Dr. Atlas did her post graduate training in General Practice as a Lt. in the United States Navy, stationed in San Diego, CA. She was active duty for 3 1/2 more years when she served as the Senior Medical Officer at NAS Dallas. The pilots loved her ability to treat them without the use of pharmaceuticals. (i.e., no "down time!")
In 1993-94, Dr. Atlas took an extensive acupuncture course for physicians through UCLA. She furthered her acupuncture knowledge by studying with Dr. Tae-woo Yoo, founder of Korean Hand Acupuncture. She has joined Dr. Reese at the East West Medical Center P.A. as it provides an environment to treat patients with integrated medicine from around the world, yet is supported by ongoing research.
