Dr. Reese is dually board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, a Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Internists for Internal Medicine, a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a full member of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology. Throughout his career he has always integrated Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) into his practice. In addition to his continuous training in cardiology, he has taken additional medical education courses in OMT. These include courses in Cranial Sacral Therapy, Percussion Hammer Technique (from it's founder, Dr. Robert Fulford), visceral manipulation (from French physician and pioneer Dr. Jean-pierre Barral), as well as multiple other direct and indirect techniques.
In 1989 Dr. Reese took an extensive body acupuncture course through UCLA and subsequently passed the certifying exam. He also has taken courses in both Yamamoto Scalp (from Dr. Yamamoto) and Korean hand acupuncture (from it's discoverer Dr. Tae-woo Yoo). In 2002, Dr. Reese had the privilege of studying ear acupuncture with internationally known and published Dr. Li-Chun Huang. Since 1990, Dr. Reese has managed to integrate both acupuncture and OMT in his thriving, invasive cardiology practice.
Most recently, Dr. Reese has limited his practice to Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Acupuncture. East West Medical Center P.A. is a culmination of decades of Dr. Reese's studies and mentoring from Medical Doctors and Therapists from around the world.
