The vision scan is performed with the patient looking into a machine, which feels similar to the machines used to test vision for a driving test.
A computerized series of lights flash at different intensities throughout the person's field of vision.
To understand the results of the scan, just remember the lighter colors are better. A normal child's scan will show white to light yellow. A normal adult's scan will be light to dark yellow, with possibly some green. As vision deteriorates, the scan colors get progressively darker through green, light brown, dark brown, purple, and finally black, at which point that part of the retina can not see even the brightest lights.
To understand the graphs, normal vision is when the patient's vision is charted between the upper and lower lines given. These lines represent normal vision, plus or minus 5%.

Patient A201 Scans and Charts
After the fifth treatment, I noticed better color definition and greater depth perception. After the week of treatment, I was reading a smaller font than I was used to. More noticeably, lately I can see the buds of spring on the trees and even greater color definition. I can distinctly see the difference in red and orange and black and blue again. After years of being told there is not a cure, this may be am miracle. I want to plan on a return visit in July, if possible, for a week of additional treatments.
